Architecture & Strategy
The Problem
You need someone to look at your problem and tell you what to build, not sell you a platform. Or you already built it, it is in front of users, and nobody can say with a straight face whether it works. The board is asking. A vendor demo is not an answer.
How I Solve It
Two shapes of work. When nothing is built yet, I take what you have, the requirements, the constraints, the systems it has to live with, and hand you the architecture written down: model selection with the cost worked out, the data pipeline, the integration strategy, and a build plan priced surface by surface, whether or not I build it. When something is already built, I measure it: a held-out evaluation set from your real data, the failure modes ranked by what each one costs, quality gates wired into your CI so accuracy cannot quietly drift after I leave, and a written measurement policy so nobody can overstate the numbers later. Either way you get decisions you can defend, made by someone who has shipped these systems and kept them running, which is a different exercise from recommending them.
How It's Sold
Designing it is the Blueprint: $7,500, two weeks, credited in full against the build. Measuring something already built is Proof: $15,000, two to three weeks. Every price is published.
Proof
A two-tier evaluation harness, 845 truth conditions built engine-blind, and a measurement policy that says which numbers may be quoted and which may not.
Retrieval over dense regulatory documents where the citation list is assembled from what was actually retrieved, so the model cannot invent a source.
Designed and migrated a 10-stage AI pipeline to Step Functions for process isolation, declarative retries, and parallel fan-out.
Chose deterministic audits over more modelling, and declined a vector database on measured grounds rather than reflex.
